The ordeal is an experience that the hero goes through. Usually the ordeal is a dangerous and sometimes painful experience. When a hero goes through the ordeal, he or she usually comes out on top and win. The hero discovers that he or she can accomplish tasks that usually couldn't be accomplished.  However, a hero would always find  a way to get through the ordeal.

Big Hero Six

In Big Hero Six Hiro takes out his brothers, Tadashi’s smiley face chip so Baymax can now kill. Baymax then goes after Callahan for killing Tadashi. The nerds then stop Baymax and put his chip back in. This is the ultimate ordeal for them. Hiro then takes Baymax out and tries to take out the smiley face chip out permanently. In the process he accidentally activates a video of his brother working on Baymax. Hiro realizes that Baymax is a healer not a killer.

Monsters Inc. 

 Mike, Sully, and Randall run through the open doors when Randall pushes Boo through her door and shreds the door. Sully is stuck on the other side until  Mike finds all of the shreds and puts them all together to find Boo again.
